Title Supplementary Materials for Sulfur Cycling during Progressive Burial in Sulfate-rich Marine Carbonates
Creator Lei Jiang
Subject Diagenesis sequence and sulfur isotopes
Publisher Xiukuan Zhao
Description The datasets include: i) Figure S1 has summarized the diagenetic sequences; ii) Table S1 includes both the measured and collected sulfur isotope data for different types of sulfur-bearing species in the Cambrian and Ordovician carbonate system of the Tarim Basin, China, and iii) Table S2 shows the collected various types of sulfur isotope data in the Lower Triassic Feixianguan Formation in the Sichuan Basin, China, and the Jurassic Smackover Formation from the Gulf of Mexico, UAS. The sulfur isotope ratios (34S/32S) were determined using an Elementar Pyrocube elemental analyzer coupled to an Isoprime gas-sourced mass spectrometer operating in continuous flow mode. References for the collected data were listed after Table S2.

Type Diagenetic sequence shows various types of diagenetic events occurred in different diagenesis realms including seawater, near-surface, shallow-burial, mesogenetic to deep burial, and uplifting. Table S1 include sample no., unit, depth, mineral, description, δ34S, σ ‰, Source. Table S2 include basin, sample no., unit, depth, mineral, description, δ34S, reference.
