Description This dataset contains Rayleigh-wave group-velocity dispersion curves and P-wave receiver functions derived from seismic data recorded by six ocean-bottom seismometer (OBS) stations (OBS2, OBS4, OBS5, OBS6, OBS7, and OBS8) deployed near the western Makran deformation front from March to August 2019. The study area extends approximately from 23.6°N to 24.8°N near 61.0°E.
For the P-wave receiver functions, teleseismic earthquakes with Mw ≥ 5.5 and epicentral distances of 28°–92° were selected. Receiver functions were calculated using standard preprocessing, time-domain iterative deconvolution, moveout correction to a reference ray parameter of 6.4 s/deg, and station-wise averaging.
For the Rayleigh-wave dispersion analysis, surface-wave time windows were extracted from earthquakes worldwide with Mw ≥ 5.0 and band-pass filtered at 0.015–0.045 Hz. DisperPy was used to calculate event-level Rayleigh-wave group-velocity dispersion curves. After quality control, the median dispersion curve was calculated for each station.

Type The dataset contains 18 files for six OBS stations. Each station has one quality-controlled median Rayleigh-wave group-velocity dispersion curve and two station-averaged P-wave receiver functions calculated with Gaussian parameters of 2 and 3. The dispersion curves contain period, Rayleigh-wave group velocity, and velocity uncertainty, with an effective period range of 15–50 s. The receiver functions have a record length of 150 s, with the direct P-wave arrival located 20 s after the beginning of the record.
Format The Rayleigh-wave group-velocity dispersion curves are stored as ASCII text (.txt) files containing three columns: period (s), Rayleigh-wave group velocity (km/s), and velocity uncertainty (km/s). The P-wave receiver functions are stored in SAC (.sac) format. The SAC headers contain the station code and coordinates, a sampling interval of 0.02 s (DELTA = 0.02 s), and 7,501 samples (NPTS = 7,501). The timing headers specify the record start (B) and direct P-wave arrival (A), with A − B = 20 s.
