Title Water level and Barometric pressure data obtained from two wells of the China Earthquake Networks Center
Creator Bingfei Chu
Subject Groundwater and Barometric pressure observation data
Publisher Xiukuan Zhao
Description This dataset contains high-quality, continuous observation data of groundwater level and barometric pressure from two selected wells within the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) network. The wells were chosen based on catalogs provided by provincial earthquake administrations and institutions (China Earthquake Administration, 2004). Key selection criteria included data quality and a location sufficiently distant from the coast to minimize the effects of ocean tides. The data were recorded using digital instruments at the respective groundwater stations. The location (longitude and latitude) of each observation data is show in the Excel file.

Date The record for the JYW well spans from 2011 to 2024. The record for the YSW well spans from 2011 to 2025.
Type Water Level: The water level data were collected using an LN-3A digital instrument. This instrument has an accuracy of ≤0.2% full scale, a resolution of 1 mm, and a sampling rate of 1 sample per minute.
Barometric Pressure: The barometric pressure data were collected using an RTP-1 digital instrument with a sampling rate of 1 sample per minute.
Format All data is provided in a single CSV file, with columns for date and time, observed water level, observed barometric pressure.
