Creator | Haiyong Xie |
Subject | MIOS radar, ROTI, Ionosonde, geomagnetic activity |

Description | The MIOS radar data from a phased array radar of the Meteor and ionospheric Irregularity Observation System (MIOS) includes the power, range (km), doppler velocity and width (m/s) of backscatter echoes. The range and temporal resolutions are 2.5 km and 2 min, respectively. The rate of change of total electron content index (ROTI) data is collected from the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) networks in Southeast Asia. The data includes latitude, longitude, ROTI and UT. The longitude is from 90°E to 150°E with a resolution of 0.25°. The latitude is from 20°S to 25°N with a resolution of 0.25°. The temporal resolution is 10 min. The ionosonde data is the ionospheric F layer true heights at specific plasma frequencies at an interval of 0.5 MHz (starting with 3.5 MHz) over Cebu. The temporal resolution is 15 min. The geomagnetic data includes Bz and By components of the interplanetary magnetic field, Ey (dawn-dusk) component of the interplanetary electric field, auroral electrojet (AE) index, symmetric portion of the horizontal component of geomagnetic field (SYM-H) and planetary K index (Kp). |
