| Description |
We collected tree ring samples from replaced roof timbers of the Jiutian Yingyuan Leitan Hall of Dagaoxuan Hall complex in the Forbidden City. Chemical extraction of α-cellulose used the modified plate method (Xu et al., 2013). We measured the oxygen isotope ratios of three cores (DGXD-12, DGXD-15, DGXD-16). Tree-ring cellulose oxygen isotope ratios (18O/16O) were measured with an isotope ratio mass spectrometer (Delta V Advantage, Thermo Scientific, Germany), coupled to a pyrolysis-type, high-temperature conversion elemental analyzer (Flash HT, Thermo Scientific, Germany) at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. |
