Description We collected 59, 811 broadband vertical seismograms generated by 218 crustal earthquakes that occurred in the SCB and surrounding areas between January 2000 and November 2018. These seismograms were recorded by 580 regional broadband seismic stations, which included 44 stations from the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) data management center and 536 stations from the China Earthquake Network Center (CENC). The CENC stations record 139 crustal earthquakes between January 2009 and November 2018. The Lg-wave signals were sampled using a group velocity window between 3.6 and 3.0 km/s. A time window of the same length was applied before the first P-wave arrival and before the Lg-wave velocity window to sample the pre-event and pre-Lg noise series. We extracted the Lg and noise waveforms recorded by the CENC stations and upload them to this Data Repository. We also uploaded the waveforms recorded at 15 selected stations from the earthquake that occurred on 2010/01/30 in the Sichuan Basin on this Data Deposit.
The Seismic Analysis Code (SAC) was used to remove the trends, means, and instrument responses for the raw vertical-component seismograms. The ground velocity records were obtained in nanometers per second with a sample rate of 100-1 s. Both the Lg and noise waveforms were extracted and added 10% duration intervals before and after their time windows for the cosine tapers. The fifteen waveforms from the earthquake on 2010/01/30 include all regional phases such as Pn, Pg, Sn, Lg, and coda waves.
All the waveforms are stored in the standard SAC format and archived in the miniSEED format with the Steim-1 compression encoding format. The Lg and pre-Lg noises are saved in the Lg_?.mseed and the pre-P noises are saved in the Noise_?.mseed.
