Title Tele-seismic P-wave receiver function data of stations MKBI, SISI, GSI, EGSI (IA network), and station X10S (ZB network)

Description Both the seismic records from IA and ZB networks are included. IA is the Indonesian national seismic monitoring network composed by more than 150 permanent stations, which are maintained by the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics. This network has been working at scale since 2009 (https://ds.iris.edu/mda/IA/). In this dataset, tele-seismic data of MKBI, SISI, GSI, and EGSI stations from Jan 2014 to Dec 2016 are involved. ZB is a mobile seismic network in the charge of Cambridge University. Seismic data of ZB network are available from IRIS (https://www.iris.edu/hq/). Tele-seismic records of X10S station from May 2008 to Oct 2008 are included.

We selected the tele-seismic events with magnitudes over 5.5 and epicentral distance between 28° and 92° . Three-component seismic data (NEZ), windowed from 20 s before and 80 s after the arrival time of P wave, were rotated to the RTZ coordinate. We computed P-RFs by time-domain deconvolution with the open-source codes developed by Prof. Lupei Zhu
(https://www.eas.slu.edu/People/LZhu/home.html).
After careful visual inspection, we eventually obtained about 800 high-quality P-RFs. All links were accessed on 12 April 2022.

The P-RFs are named as “YYYMMDD_HHMM.ri” which marks the occurrence date and time of tele-seismic events. The sub-directories named “G?.?” mean that the receiver functions contained in these directories were filtered with a Gaussian coefficient of “?.?”. For example, “G2.5” means the receiver functions were computed with a lowpass Gaussian filter with a coefficient of 2.5 (i.e., the high-frequency limit of about 1.2 Hz). Information of stations and events are saved in the headers: STLA, STLO, EVLA, EVLO, and EVDP. Ray parameters and sampling intervals are saved into the headers USER0 and DELTA, respectively.

Type P-RFs of IA network are saved with a sampling rate of 20 Hz. P-RFs of ZB network are saved with a sampling rate of 50 Hz. All P-RF records are saved with a time length of 90 s and start 2 s before P wave. The zero time is designated as the arrival time of P wave.
Format These seismic data in the standard SAC format can be open by any regular seismic analysis tools, such as SAC, Obspy, MATLAB, et al.
