Subject Magnetotelluric model data

Description To map the lithospheric resistivity models of Northeast China, we deployed two magnetotelluric (MT) profiles, and broadband MT data at 308 stations were collected. At 51 of these broadband stations, long-period data were collected as well. These data were collected in 2010 to 2012 by China University of Geosciences Beijing with the funding from China Geological Survey. MTU-5A and Lemi-417 instruments were used to collect broadband and long-period data respectively. Broadband and long-period Data were processed using SSMT2000 and Varentsov’s code respectively, giving the broadband data a period range of 0.003 ~ 5,000 s and the long-period data a period range of 10 ~ 10,000 s. MT data were inverted with an external version of NLCG 6.10, and the inverted models of L3 and L4, and corresponding input and output files were in ./L3_model_NLCG6.10 and ./L4_model_NLCG6.10 respectively. The files in the two folders can be plotted using professor Martyn Unsworth’s Matlab scripts, which can be downloaded via https://sites.ualberta.ca/~unsworth/codes/pmv17.m. The folder ./coordinates contains four files, which include coordinates of broadband (*BBMT.dat) and long-period (*LMT.dat) stations of L3 (L3*.dat) and L4 (L4*.dat). Each coordinate file includes four columns: IDs, Longitude (in degrees), Latitude (in degrees) and site names.
