Title Kelan FPI thermospheric wind database
Creator Changjun Yang
Subject Mid-Low latitude FPI data
Publisher Xiukuan Zhao
Description The thermospheric winds data sets are obtained from the China Meteorological Administration. The thermospheric winds are measured by 630.0 nm Fabry-Perot measurements over Kelan (38.7ºN,111.6ºE). The Kelan FPI system, supported by China Meteorology Administration, consists of such components: sky scanner, filter, dome, etalon chamber (10cm caliber and with thermal control), mirror and lens focus mechanism, camera and data acquisition and saving systems, is controlled by a computer and operating in an automated mode, which schedule to shift the filter to observe at wavelengths of 892.0 nm, 630.0 nm, and 557.7 nm with the exposure time of 3, 3, and 5 mins in every cycle respectively.
